Manufacturing technology of sanitary ware machinery:

(1) Inappropriate scheduling of feeding, lack of feeding or multi-feeding. Incorrect feeding metering or improper operation of feeding control system, abnormal injection cycle caused by injection machine or die or operation conditions, low back pressure of pre-plastics or low density of material particles in barrel may constitute missing materials. Plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon and plastics with larger viscosity, such as ABS, should be adjusted to a higher level with regard to larger particles and more vacancies and larger specific volume change of crystallinity. The material quantity should be increased when the material temperature is on the high side.

When there is too much material stored at the end of the barrel, the screw will consume the rated injection pressure to press and push the excessive stock in the barrel, which greatly reduces the useful injection pressure of the plastic entering the cavity and makes the product difficult to fill.

(2) The injection pressure is too low, the injection time is short, and the plunger or screw back too early. Molten plastics have high viscosity and poor activity at low working temperature, and should be injected at high pressure and speed. For example, in the manufacture of ABS colorful parts, the high temperature resistance of the colorant restricts the heating temperature of the barrel, which should be compensated by higher injection pressure and extended injection time than usual.

(3) The injection speed is slow. The injection speed is of great significance for some products with disorderly shape, large thickness change and long process, as well as for plastics with high viscosity, such as ABS, which can increase the resistance. When high pressure is not enough to fill the product, we should consider using high-speed injection talent to overcome the shortcomings of unsatisfactory injection.

(4) The material temperature is too low. The low temperature at the front end of the barrel prevents the melt entering the cavity from moving too early due to the cooling effect of the die, which hinders the filling of the distal part of the barrel. The low temperature at the back of the barrel and the difficulty of plastic movement with high viscosity hinder the forward movement of the screw. The effect constitutes that the pressure flashed by the pressure gauge meets the requirement, while in practice, the melt enters the cavity at low pressure and low speed.

Low nozzle temperature may be that the nozzle loses heat when it contacts the cold die for a long time when it is fixed feeding, or the heating ring of the nozzle is short or the contact is bad, which may block the feeding passage of the die; assuming that the die does not have a cooling well, the nozzle can maintain the necessary temperature by using self-locking nozzle and after-feeding procedure; when the nozzle is too cold at first start, it can sometimes use fire. The flame gun is heated outside to accelerate the nozzle heating.

Material aspect:

Plastics have poor mobility. Recycled debris is often used in plastics factories, and the tendency of increasing viscosity is often reflected in recycled debris. Experiments show that: because the molecular chain breaking unit volume density produced by oxidative cracking is added, it adds the viscous activity in the barrel and cavity, and the regenerated debris promotes the onset of more gaseous substances, which increases the injection pressure loss and makes it difficult to fill the mould.

In order to improve the activity of plastics, we should consider participating in external lubricants such as stearic acid or its salts, using silicone oil (viscosity 300-600 cm2/s). The participation of lubricants not only promotes the activity of plastics, but also improves the stability of plastics and reduces the gas resistance of gaseous substances.
